Tehmina & Michael: an unforgettable wedding in Ravello
Every wedding tells a unique story, made up of emotions, details and unrepeatable moments. When I worked on Tehmina and Michael’s video, celebrated in the beautiful setting of Ravello, I knew it would be a special project. Their day was a perfect balance of emotional intensity and lightness, enriched by sincere speeches, moments of pure joy and a deep connection with the couple’s cultural roots.
Music: a bridge between roots and emotions
For this wedding, the choice of music played a fundamental role. It was not just a matter of accompaniment, but a real narrative element that gave depth to the video. I chose sounds that recalled the origins of the bride, Tehmina, creating an intense and meaningful soundtrack.
Each note seems to amplify the connection between their cultural roots and the energy of the moment, turning each scene into an even more emotional experience.
A light and engaging atmosphere
One of the things I loved about this wedding was the lightness that was in every moment. Despite the depth of the emotions, nothing ever felt heavy or overly formal. Tehmina and Michael, with their spontaneous and funny manner, created an atmosphere in which every guest felt at ease. The laughter and smiles were infectious, and the presence of sincere and engaging speeches from relatives added a human and authentic touch to the storytelling.
What makes this video unique is that there is so much talking, from the bride and groom’s vows to the toasts of friends. This gave the editing a strong, almost cinematic narrative feel, allowing the viewer to fully immerse themselves in their story.
Ravello: a setting of rare beauty
Shooting in Ravello is always a privilege. This small village on the Amalfi Coast offers a natural setting that is perfectly suited for weddings like Tehmina and Michael’s. The terraces overlooking the sea, the light that changes throughout the day, the colours of nature and the ancient buildings create a unique and timeless atmosphere.
During filming, I tried to enhance every corner of Ravello. The narrow streets, lush gardens and natural light made each shot alive and authentic, adding depth to the visual story. Ravello’s beauty did not just act as a backdrop, but became an integral part of the narrative, reinforcing the link between place, emotions and people.
A video that tells authentic emotions
What I wanted to create for Tehmina and Michael was a video that reflected the way they are: intense, but light; emotional, but never forced. The cinematic atmosphere, with a strong narrative structure and special attention to detail, allowed each moment to be given its rightful place.
Every decision, from the music to the framing, was guided by the goal of capturing the essence of that day. It was not just about filming events, but about telling a story that was authentic and true to them. And when, upon reviewing the images, I saw how well each scene conveyed the emotions experienced on that day, I realised that the result was exactly what I wanted.
